Kisah Sanqi penjaga pagar underworld sebelum roh boleh pergi ke syurga atau neraka.. Malangnya masa Sanqi lahir, roh dia telah hilang satu menyebabkan kejadian dia tak berapa cantik.. Sanqi terpaksa mewarisi kerja mak dia bila mak dia mati.. Buat pertama kalinya ada manusia terlepas masuk namun zhao li dah hantar manusia tu balik.. Bila manusia tu dah besar, dia datang balik cari Sanqi.. Mulanya macam nak main-main tapi lama-lama manusia tu dan Sanqi bersahabat dan nak berkahwin.. Namun ada komplot rupanya.. Ada yang menggunakan mereka semata-mata ingin kekal sebagai immortal.. Bila cinta mengatasi segalanya, yang jahat tetap kalah.. hehehe..

San Qi is the newest Meng Po, gatekeeper of the underworld, and she has her eyes set on grim reaper Zhao Li. Unfortunately for her, she lost a part of her soul during birth and grew up ugly and dull-witted, which is the main reason Zhao Li repeatedly rejected her advances. She spends her days brewing Tea of Forgetfulness and helping souls pass on to the next life, or feeding on souls destined for hell.  Then one day, a boy named Chang Sheng stumbles into her place smelling deliciously edible.
